When I was researching on how to find if you've got a pair of genuine or fake Sennheiser CX 400, I simply couldn't find a guide anywhere that had photos good enough to see any difference. So, I managed to get a pair of fake and another pair of genuine headphones, and decided to come in to the rescue by taking a number of decent images and put them here. Since eBay shrinks the images you upload here to a miniscule size, I had to break the eBay policy, and post external links under the images that point to their supersized versions. In the following shot, the left earphone is fake, while the right one is genuine. Notice the cheap logo printing and the lack of smoothness in the plastic finish.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/BigRiz/Sennheiser CX 400/phones-back.jpgThe following shot shows the earphones from the front. The left one is fake. Notice the different shape of the grille. The genuines have a rounded grille, while the fakes are more or less flat.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/BigRiz/Sennheiser CX 400/phones-front.jpgThe following shows the difference in the pouches. The one on top is from the fake set. The genuine set has a genuine leather pouch. This is easily identifiable. The logo on the fake pouch looks too smooth and shiny since it's simply molded in the plastic, while the logo on the genuine leather pouch shows some minor defects in the material. Leather also creases differently.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/BigRiz/Sennheiser CX 400/pouch.jpg
